Intro to Set Design and Production for Theatre

This is an online resource for all things related to the Set Design and Production for Theatre program as part of After School Matters!
Spring 2024
This program focuses on the set design process in theatre. Teens will learn how to develop a design idea and how to communicate that idea by creating a physical scale 3D model. This program includes, learning how to measure and create art in scale, field trips to full theatre productions and backstage tours of theatres like Steppenwolf, The Goodman, and/or Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. Previous experience is not required. Teens will also get to talk to industry professionals and get first-hand knowledge on working in the industry of theatre. Learn more on instagram @asm_chi_design
